Job Title Description : Part-Time Seasonal Child Nutrition Program Driver
Classification: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Director of Transportation
Salary: $16.00/hr.
Summary/Objective
Northern Illinois Food Bank is seeking a Child Nutrition Delivery Driver to deliver after school snacks and/or suppers and backpacks to youth program sites located throughout our northwest region in a Northern Illinois Food Bank van or straight truck, and to report site activity.

Required Education, Skills, and Experience
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment
This job operates both in and out of doors and sometimes is performed under adverse weather conditions. The work involves frequent driving.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to remain in a stationary position one to two hours at a time while driving. Employee will be required to frequently move 50 to 75 pounds. Employee must be able to ascend/descend in and out of a semi-tractor trailer, operate a hand jack and be able to push and pull 200-2000 lbs. using a hand jack.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
The position is part-time from May 20 – August 9. This position will work Monday through Friday (25-29 hours per week).
Remote Work
Based on the Remote Work Policy and the remote work evaluation, this position is NOT eligible for remote work.
Position Location and Travel
This position is based out of our Geneva Location. Use of personal vehicle for travel is not required. This driving position uses a food bank vehicle.
